MY STORY
Chapter 1: Luxury Hotel Experience
Welcome to my blog, Mexico Luxury Traveler, where I’ll take you on a journey through the most exclusive and luxurious destinations in Mexico.
But before we begin, let me introduce myself. My name is Allison, a Missouri girl with a passion for travel and luxury experiences.
After completing my degree in International Business and Spanish, I started my career at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, one of the world’s leading luxury hotel companies.
Starting as a Front Desk Agent, I gained invaluable experience working with various hotel departments, including Housekeeping, Guest Services, Room Service, and Concierge. I also learned the minute details of luxury hotel standards and often had my performance evaluated by anonymous hotel inspectors like Forbes and AAA.
Later, I transitioned to Catering and Conference Services, where I honed my skills in event planning and worked closely with the Executive Chef and Banquets team to deliver exceptional culinary experiences.
Eventually, I moved into a Marketing and Sales role in the Corporate Office, where I worked on global marketing campaigns and planned large-scale on-property events at luxury hotel locations all over the world.
Chapter 2: Mexico Experience
Despite my love for Four Seasons, I decided to follow my dream of living abroad in a Spanish-speaking country, which led me to Playa del Carmen, Mexico in 2018.
Since then, I’ve launched two travel blogs – the first, “Viva La Travelista,” provides tips and resources for safe and confident travel in Spanish-speaking countries.
And now, my second blog, Mexico Luxury Traveler, is dedicated to helping you discover the very best of Mexico’s luxury travel offerings.
Living in Playa del Carmen places me in the heart of Riviera Maya, one of Mexico’s most renowned luxury travel destinations.
And over the years, I’ve traveled extensively throughout Mexico, including major destinations such as Mexico City, Guadalajara, Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta, and the entire Yucatan peninsula.
I’ve been able to personally experience many of the best luxury offerings in Mexico and I’m excited to share them with you in this blog.
